We catch up with the terrain park grooming team at the Hoedown Throw Down at Stevens Pass. It takes a lot of time and grooming to create a smooth and well-groomed course. The groomers typically work 10-hour days to create elaborate terrain parks, such as this one with 40 features. The trick, it seems, is to work with gravity from top to bottom, but snow conditions are also a big factor. Based on the feedback from participants at this event, it seems that both the grooming and the conditions were optimal. Check out the Stevens Pass website for more awesome events.
